Social Solutions, Inc., the leading provider of performance management software for human and social services, announced today that Communities In Schools (CIS) of Richmond, an organization that aims to help children stay in school by identifying and addressing the unmet needs of children and families, is using Social Solutions Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) software for its Promise Neighborhood initiative. CIS Richmond aims to enhance overall performance by tracking all outcomes and adjusting programs accordingly.
The Promise Neighborhood initiative is part of a nationwide effort by the Department of Education to end generational poverty, improve childrens achievement in school, and provide young people and their parents with opportunities associated with neighborhoods with greater resources.
Inspired by the Promise Neighborhood initiative and the Harlem Childrens Zone model, Richmonds Promise Neighborhood will offer children and their families a cradle to career pipeline of support while strengthening community bonds.
To better reach this goal, Richmonds Promise Neighborhood will be using ETO software to accurately track and document the effectiveness of its programs and adjust service provision as the data indicates. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is also working in conjunction with CIS of Richmond to implement and manage ETO software.
We want to see our Promise Neighborhood program ultimately transform lives in the Richmond area, said Suzanne Keeley, vice president of development, CIS of Richmond. By better tracking and documenting the quality of the program with ETO software, we can provide our community with the tools and services that empower more students to stay in school and achieve more with their lives.
The Harlem Childrens Zone and Department of Educations Promise Neighborhoods models are prime examples of how performance management can support the success of community collaborative initiatives, said Adrian Bordone, co-founder of Social Solutions. We are pleased that the CIS of Richmond will be extending this effort by running evidence-based programs with ETO software.
