Joseph Federico, Vice President and Director of Operations of NJ MET, located in Clifton, New Jersey, announces that NJ METs14th annual Thanksgiving food drive will benefit Evas Kitchen of Paterson, New Jersey.
Joseph Federico said, We want to thank all those who contributed canned goods and other food staples to help feed the homeless and hungry of the Passaic County area of New Jersey. We received donations from both our corporate staff here in NJ METs Clifton, NJ headquarters and from our valued customers in the metropolitan area.
Joseph Federico will personally deliver all food goods to Evas Kitchen in Paterson, NJ on Thanksgiving morning.
Located at 393 Main Street in Paterson, Evas Kitchen is a large, clean and sunlight-filled space where diners are welcomed 365 days a year – all who come are fed. Started in 1982 by Rev. Msgr. Vincent E. Puma, Evas Kitchen is the oldest component of what has grown to become Evas Village. Evas Kitchen began with a meal of franks and beans to 30 homeless people, and now serves over 1,000 meals EVERY DAY to the homeless, hungry and working poor who gather at Evas Kitchen, and those in residence in various programs at Evas Village in New Jersey. The Thanksgiving project is just one of the charitable drives undertaken throughout the year by NJ MET. For example, the administration and engineering staff at NJ METs Clifton NJ headquarters also plan on raising money for the American Red Cross for victims of Hurricane Sandy throughout the holiday and into the new year said Joseph Federico.
